Equipments

1 Sauce Pan

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Black Tea powder/black tea leaves/green tea leaves
  • ½ cup Sugar/add as required
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • Ice cubes as required
  • Few Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by boiling around 3 cups (750ml) of water to a saucepan.
    2. Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and add 4-6 tea bags or 2-3 tablespoons of loose tea leaves to the hot water.
    3. After steeping, remove the tea bags or strain out the tealeaves. Allow the tea to cool down to room temperature. You can transfer it to a heat-resistant pitcher or container and let it sit on the counter, or you can refrigerate it for faster cooling. Set aside for further use.
    4. Now take a glass and put 2 slices of lemon and some mint leaves.
    5. Append half glass sugar syrup or as required.
    6. Afterwards add 6-7 ice cubes as it will give chillness to the lemon tea.
    7. Pour the recently made tea water into the glass.
    8. While the tea is cooling, squeeze the juice from 2-3 fresh lemons.
    9. Garnish the glass with a spring of fresh mint or a lemon slice on the rim.

Notes

  • Experiment with different tea varieties to find the one that suits your taste preferences. Black tea, such as Earl Grey or Darjeeling, offers a robust flavor, while green tea provides a more delicate and grassy taste.
  • Adjust the strength of your tea by varying the steeping time.
  • Apart from sugar or honey, you can also try alternative sweeteners like maple syrup, agave nectar, or stevia. Remember to add sweeteners to the hot tea while it's still brewing to ensure they dissolve properly.
  • If you prefer a smoother and less bitter taste, try the cold brew method. Combine tea bags or loose tea leaves, water, and lemon slices in a pitcher, and refrigerate overnight. This method extracts flavors more gently and reduces the risk of bitterness.
