Ingredients

For Masala

  • 1 tablespoon Dry Mango powder
  • ½ tablespoon Black Salt
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • Few Black peppercorns
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup Sugar

For Masala Soda

  • Fresh Mint leaves
  • ½ tablespoon Lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Prepared Masala

Instructions
 

  • How to make Masala Soda
    2. In a bowl, add dry mango powder, black salt, asafoetida.
    3. Add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns dry roast on medium flame.
    4. Transfer this into a bowl, add salt to taste and sugar.
    5. Transfer this into a grinder jar and grind it into a fine powder.
    6. In a serving glass, add some mint leaves, prepared masala and a few ice cubes.
    7. Optionally, you can add 1/4 teaspoon of black salt for an extra tangy taste.
    8. Stir the ingredients in the glass gently to dissolve the sugar and mix the flavors.
    9. Pour the soda over it, garnish it with soaked basil seeds. Add ice cubes to the glass, if desired, to chill the masala soda.
