Equipments

1 Pan
1 Glass Bowl (medium-sized)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Custard powder
  • Cold Milk as required
  • ¼ cup Sugar/as required
  • 1 medium-sized Apple
  • 1 medium-sized Pomegranate
  • 2 Bananas
  • 2 medium-sized Mango
  • 10-11 Cherries
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Elaichi powder

For Garnishing

  • 6--7 Cherries

Instructions

  • Preparing the Custard
In a saucepan, pour 3 cups of milk and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.
    2. In a separate bowl, mix 2 tablespoons custard powder with a small amount of cold milk to form a smooth paste. Make sure there are no lumps.
    3. Once the milk in the saucepan reaches a simmer, add 1/4 cup sugar to it, and stir until it dissolves completely.
    4. Now, slowly pour the custard paste into the simmering milk while stirring continuously.
    5. Keep stirring with an egg beater until the custard thickens to a smooth and creamy consistency. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Make sure that there should be no lumps.
    6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the custard to cool down to room temperature. Stir occasionally to prevent skin from forming on top.
    7. Transfer the prepared custard to a bowl and place it in the refrigerator to completely cool down.
    Preparing the Fruits

    8. Wash all the fresh fruits thoroughly under running water. Peel and chop the fruits into bite-sized pieces. You can dice the apples and bananas, mango, pomegranate & cherries. Feel free to get creative with the shapes!
    9. Combine all the chopped fruits in a large mixing bowl and gently toss them together to create a colorful and appealing fruit medley.
     Assembling the Fruit Custard

    10. Now, gently fold the mixed fruits into the custard, making sure all the fruits are coated evenly.
    11. Afterwards, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to it and stir well to infuse the custard with a delightful flavor.
    12. Now append 1/2 teaspoon elaichi powder to enhance the flavor of the custard.
    13. Last but not least completely mix the fruits in custard.
    14. For an extra touch, you can refrigerate the custard for an hour or so to chill it, making it even more refreshing on a hot summer day.
     Serving the Fruit Custard

    15. Take out the chilled fruit custard from the refrigerator and give it a gentle stir before serving.
    16. To add a finishing touch, garnish the custard with a few fresh cherries.
Your homemade fruit custard is now ready
