1 Glass Jar

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized Mangoes (Approx 1.5 cups mango pulp)
  • 3 teaspoons Black tea powder/black tea leaves/2-3 black tea bags
  • 4 cups Water
  • ½ tablespoon Lemon juice/add as required
  • Raw Sugar/White Sugar-add as required
  • 3-4 Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by peeling 2 ripe mangoes and removing their pits. Cut the flesh into small pieces and place them in a blender or food processor.
    2. Blend until you obtain a smooth puree. Set aside.
    3. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, turn off the heat and add 2 teaspoon tea leaves or tea bags. Allow the tea leaves / bags to steep for about 5 minutes or follow the brewing instructions on the package for the desired strength.
    4. Now sieve the tea water through mesh if you use tea leaves.
    5. Let the tea cool to room temperature.
    6. Take a tall glass and add 5-7 tablespoon prepared mango puree with some mashed ice/ice cubes.
    7. Afterwards pour 2 tablespoon lemon juice and 2 pieces of lemons in to the glass.  Also add some mint leaves.
    8. Append the cooled tea water in it.
    9. Stir well to combine the flavors. If desired, add honey or sugar to sweeten the tea according to your taste preferences. Stir until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
    10. After mixing repeat some steps again in small tea mug. Now put some meshed ice/ice cubes in mug.
    11. Add 2 pieces of lemon and some mint leaves.
    12. Finally pour the prepared mango ice tea in to the mug.
    13. Place the mug of mango ice tea in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least an hour. This will allow the flavors to meld together and the tea to become perfectly chilled.
