Equipments

1 Pan (Non-Stick)
1 Popsicles Mold
1 Glass Bowl

Ingredients

  • 150 ml Mango Squash
  • A pinch of Black salt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 500 ml Water

Instructions

  • Peel 3-4 ripe mangoes or take prepared mango syrup and remove the flesh from the pit. Cut the mango flesh into chunks and place them in a blender or food processor and blend the mangoes smoothly.
    2. Blend the mango chunks until you achieve a smooth puree. Ensure there are no lumps or fibers remaining. If desired, you can strain the puree to remove any fibrous bits.
    3. Now take a pan and add 4 glass water and 1 kilogram sugar.
    4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness according to your preference. Remember that freezing dulls the sweetness, so it's okay if the puree tastes a bit sweeter than desired.
    5. After the mixture cools down add 1/4 teaspoon salt.
    6. Afterwards pour 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice.
    7. Add 500 ml water in mango syrup.
    8. Last but not the least carefully pour the mango mixture into the popsicle molds, leaving a small gap at the top to allow for expansion. If your molds don't come with built-in sticks, insert popsicle sticks into the molds.
    9. Place the popsicle molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid. For best results, leave them overnight.
    10. Once the popsicles are fully frozen, remove the molds from the freezer. If the popsicles don't easily slide out, you can briefly run the molds under warm water to loosen them. Gently pull on the popsicle sticks turn mold the mango popsicles.
    11. Serve the mango popsicles immediately and enjoy their tropical goodness.

Notes

  • It's important to use ripe mangoes for the best flavor in your popsicles. Look for mangoes that are fragrant and slightly soft to the touch.
  • Taste the mango puree before freezing and adjust the sweetness and acidity levels accordingly. Freezing dulls the flavors, so it's better to have a slightly sweeter and tangier puree.
  • Consider adding texture to your popsicles by reserving some mango chunks and adding them to the molds along with the puree.
  • Layering different flavors can create visually appealing popsicles. Partially freeze one layer before adding the next layer for clean separation.
  • Silicone popsicle molds are convenient and make it easy to remove the popsicles. If they're difficult to unmold, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them.
  • Experiment with different add-ins like diced strawberries, toasted coconut flakes, or spices like chili powder to customize your popsicles.
  • Store leftover popsicles in an airtight container or wrap them individually in plastic wrap to maintain their freshness and prevent freezer burn.
  • Frozen popsicles can be enjoyed for up to a few weeks, but for the best taste and texture, consume them within the first week of freezing.
  • You can use frozen mangoes if fresh ones are not available. Thaw them before blending to create the puree.
  • Yogurt can be substituted with coconut milk or other non-dairy milk for a dairy-free version.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe to suit your taste preferences. Remember that freezing dulls the sweetness, so it's better to have a slightly sweeter puree.
